Lehr- und Sinnespfad Käppelehütte im Naturpark Südschwarzwald
The educational and sensory trail in the Käppeledobel Bollschweil - St. Ulrich invites school classes, families, holidaymakers, health tourists and day trippers from the entire region to experience the forest with all their senses and re-establish a closer relationship with nature.
The Käppelehütte educational and sensory trail is located in the Biengen forest in the district of Bollschweil. The forest is a mixed beech-fir forest with approx. 56% coniferous wood and 44% deciduous wood. The forest is managed in a near-natural way, with dead wood remaining in the forest and old trees being preserved.
At the Käppelehütte there is a large square with water, seating and a barbecue area. There are information boards all around the hut on the topics of bees, historical rafting and charcoal burning as well as historical timber and forestry. There are also exhibition boards and small exhibitions on the topics of "Zeidlerei" and "Life in the forest" as well as a sensory trail.
Residents and overnight guests have the opportunity to learn about nature in the forest and take advantage of supervised activities around the Käppelehütte, such as walks with the forester or forest bathing.
We recommend that you walk the narrow path with sturdy shoes and suitable clothing and pack a snack to stave off hunger and thirst.
This project was supported by the Southern Black Forest Nature Park with funds from the state of Baden-Württemberg, the Glücksspirale lottery and the European Union (EAFRD). European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: This is where Europe invests in rural areas.
